To Love & To Cherish Vintage
Website Design & Branding
To Love & To Cherish Vintage is a local, friendly business offering high-quality Vintage Bone China for Hire, along with several props. The brief was to focus on the floral elements of the vintage china and produce a design that captured this style in a modern yet simple logo, before producing a bespoke website with listing branding to help sell the products.
Logo Design
At Certo Design we pride ourselves on getting to know the customer, so we started by talking to Nichola. After discussing the To Love & To Cherish Vintage Logo Design we decided on a floral design. In addition to this Nichola suggested incorporating a plate shape.
With this in mind, we got work! The text element was our focus initially, primarily because of the business name length. Several logo designs were created, featuring various fonts, layout and elements. Finally, the designs were all sent to Nichola for feedback.
We took on-board the feedback and the logo designs evolved. Views and opinions about the design were exchanged a couple times before, inevitably, a new company logo was created. Ready to use and very much appreciated by our lovely client Nicola.
Online Branding
As To Love & To Cherish Vintage was a new company, the first steps towards creating the Website involved creating an online brand identity.
We started by designing key elements, such as a content divider, flower elements and a colour palette. In this case, we used the homepage to help the client visualise the branding. After this, we moved onto creating layouts and content.
The website
Fist of all we talked to Nichola at To Love & To Cherish Vintage about the website and it's goals. Then, we set up a holding page, with a contact form for anyone who found the website prematurely. The Homepage then became our next priority. This is where we put together all the branding elements to create a layout that would become the shop window of the company.
Finishing Touches
Once we had established the branding to be used for the website we could then move onto populating the other pages with it. Once all the provided content was in place we then turned our attention to SEO (search engine optimisation). All Certo Design Website Designs include basic SEO, with titles and meta descriptions set up for every page.
Once this process was complete, we invited Nichola to the Certo Design office. Once settled in we talked through the website and made a few alterations. This process allowed our client to see first hand how to use the website. Once happy with the website we gave a tutorial on how to use the WordPress content management system. Therefore allowing Nichola to have full control of her website and update it herself.
