To Love & To Cherish Logo Design

Certo Design was recently approached by startup Wedding Prop and China Hire Company To Love & To Cherish Vintage, to create a logo design.

The Brief

To Love & To Cherish Vintage is a local, friendly business offering high-quality Vintage Bone China for Hire, along with several props. The brief was to focus on the floral elements of the vintage china and produce a design that captured this style in a modern yet simple logo.

The Design Process

At Certo Design my approach to Logo Design always starts with talking to the client about what they want. In other words, we take the time to know your thoughts and ideas first, before generating our own ideas.

After talking to Nichola about the To Love & To Cherish Vintage Logo I decided on a floral design, featuring stencilled roses or painted fuschias for instance. In addition to this Nichola suggested incorporating a plate shape. However I did expand on these initial ideas.

I got work! The text element was our primary focus initially, primarily because of the business name length. It was full steam ahead in the Certo Design office. Several logo designs were churned out, one after another, featuring various fonts and layouts. Not one idea was wasted. Because, the more ideas we realised, the more room left in our heads for fresh ideas. Finally, the designs were all sent to Nichola for feedback, once I had a good amount of creative ideas.

I took on-board the initial feedback and the logo designs evolved. Various shapes and layouts we incorporated into the designs such as teapots and flowers, for instance.

The Finishing Touches

I really started to narrow down on the final To Love & To Cherish Vintage logo design after the second round of feedback. In other words, decisions were made about the font and shape. Inevitably, we were left with only one or two designs at stage of design process. The To Love & To Cherish Vintage Logo Design was starting to take shape.

After that, Certo Design provided further design variations. Most importantly, the focus had now shifted onto colour and layout of the elements already decided upon.

Inevitably a new company logo is created. Ready to use and very much appreciated by our lovely client Nicola.
